Frequently asked questions on Colloidal Minerals
What are Colloidal Minerals? -
The meaning of a colloid is defined as a particle in a liquid medium suspension. A plant derived colloidal mineral contains mineral particles between 0.001 and 0.0001 of a micron in diameter in suspension in a liquid.
Are your minerals manufactured?
No the minerals are harvested, not manufactured.
Are there any nasties in it!?
No, there are no preservatives, synthetic substances or flavourings added that might contaminate the pure and precious final product.
How many minerals does the product contain?
70 different Colloidal Minerals. The minerals are selected from various segments of the deposit to ensure the broadest balance of all these important minerals and trace elements.
How long have these minerals been on the market?
They have been on the market since 1925. It is the only nutritional product that has a legal decree from a federal court and an approval from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to be harvested and sold as a nutritional supplement because it passed all their tests.
Surely minerals aren’t that important?
"Minerals in the soil control the metabolism of plants, animals and man. All of life will be either healthy or unhealthy according to the fertility of the soil."
Dr Alexus Carrel, 1912 Nobel Prize Winner
Why do we need minerals?
The importance of minerals to our health has been overlooked for generations. Minerals are the basic constituents of all matter and they are integral to the creation of living cells hence they are known as the building blocks of the body. To give an example of this.
-
The formation of blood cells need iron, calcium, and phosphorous
-
The formation of nerve cells need potassium, iron, sodium and calcium phosphates
It becomes obvious that if there were a deficiency of just one mineral then effective or complete repair and efficient functioning of the cells in which that mineral predominated would be impossible. Do remember cells naturally die and reproduce themselves all the time in our bodies.
Organic food must be the answer?
Although organic food has the great benefit of being grown according to nature's laws and being free from pesticide and herbicide residues, there is no guarantee that it contains any more minerals than ordinary food. Organic farmers are trying to work with the health of their soils but this has not been fully achieved as yet.
There is one line of thinking that the mineral content of organic and non-organic food is the same. The one big difference is that in organic food all the minerals are freely available for the body to absorb, as they are not bound up by chemicals. Non-organic food, most of the minerals are bound up in chemicals and therefore the body cannot absorb them.
